Its another time to celebrate, and this time we are celebrating some key people!!! We are celebrating pillars in the home! To celebrate with our father's, Sandkreations hand customized canvas.
What you'll need:
- 4*4 Stretched canvas
- Black acrylic paint
- Gold foil paper
- foil pen
- washi tape
- magnetic sheet
- Piece of white chalk
- Varnish/Polish
The making
Get your 4*4 canvas, if its black then you can skip this step, if white using a paint brush cover your canvas in black. Leave it to get dry, for 3 hours minimum.
Once this is drying up, get a piece of paper and hand letter your design to it using a black marker (sharpie).
Once that is done, turn the paper and color the writing from the back using your
chalk.
Get your gold foil ready and cut a 4*4 portion as well, place your paper with the white chalk printed on it, on top of the foil.
Use a pencil to print on each of the letters. By the time you are done, you should have the marks of your design on your foil.
At this point, you should get your foil pen ready i.e get it connected to electric power so that it can begin heating up. I use the We R Memory Foil Quill Pen.
You could use a gold paint pen to write directly on the canvas but the foil creates a more shiny and lasting effect.
Once your pen is heated up, fix your foil on the canvas with washi tape, then you are set for the job ! Ensure you apply equal pressure and consistency when lettering on the foil. Don't
rush, pace through it slowly so you can have a beautiful outcome at the end of the day. Once done, lift the foil up gently and if any errors you can cover it up gently and correct it with the foil pen.
And that's it!!! you should have a very beautiful piece! To have it look more shiny, you can add some varnish/shine spray applied to it (optional).
This can be offered to fathers to appreciate them, it could be displaced in any place in your house as decor or better still can add magnet to the back so it can be added as a beautiful magnet to the fridge/refrigerator.
